In today's world of big-bore ATV's there
is a need to get traction to the ground. Yamaha did a fantastic job at giving
the customer what they deserve. The Yamaha Raptor 700R Special Edition features
excellent shocks that are found on the YFZ450. With the
adjustability of hi/low speed compression dampening and rebound dampening there
is a need for shock work internally. Most people have installed +2" swing-arms
and have noticed that the shock comfort and adjustability is gone. The main
reason for this is that the leverage ratio's have changed thus, demanding more
from the shock. WiigStyle Racing has got you covered when it comes time to
revalve and rebuild your SE shock. Installed is a Race Tech Gold Valve Kit.

Bladder Cap and Bladder
WiigStyle Racing will replace the bladder cap upon reassemblly of the shock The bladder will not be upgraded unless it is torn.
This allows for a proper and complete shock rebuild without sacrificing
performance and error. The customer will always be called and know what is going on with
parts that are needed.
Shock Bladder Cap Cost: $49.99

Raptor Rear Shock set-up for drag racing w/ a longer swingarm.

Example: notice the difference in spring size. WiigStyle
Racing takes your shock mods seriously! Stock spring rate is 4.6kg/mm. New
spring is 10.3kg/mm!!
Example: Shortened shock shaft for a
Yamaha 700 SE. This shock is set-up for a +4" swing-arm and a rider weight of
325lbs.
Rebound Separator Valve
On the Yamaha Raptor 700R SE it is hard to
control the power of the engine at times in braking bumps, sand whoops, and
gullies. WiigStyle Racing utilizes a rebound separator valve to control the the
low speed rebound and low speed compression adjustment. With this piece you will
have better pitch control, front to back movement on acceleration and braking.
Why is this
needed? On a standard shock the Low Speed Rebound Adjuster flows the
same on compression and rebound. In testing when the lowest speed rebound
damping is quick enough to get good traction, the lowest speed compression
damping is to mushy. This causes a vague feeling and bottoming on long duration
hits like big dips or gullies in dirt. The separator valve can be adjusted for
rider weight by drilling out the bleed port for maximum performance.
Rebound Separator
Valve Cost: $59.99 plus labor ($70.00-fronts, $60.00-rear)

Front and Rear Shock Springs
These springs are designed for the +2"
swing-arms and +2" a-arms. Made by CNC cold wound processes these springs will
not leave you disappointed. When ordering please specify rider weight, riding
conditions, and swing-arm or a-arm length (+2", or stock, etc.). Also available are
rear springs designed
for +4" to +8" swing-arms. Shock spring spacers are needed and run $15
to $25 depending on weight, riding conditions, and swing-arm length. The +6" and
beyond swing-arm lengths will require machining and your spring preload can't be
more than a maximum of 10mm. Please see the note above about the machining
process.
Rear Shock Spring Cost: $114.99
7.1kg/mm = blue (light) used for rider weights from 160-205lbs.
8.6 kg/mm = black (medium) used for rider weights between 205-240lbs.
9.6 kg/mm = red (heavy) used mainly on lengthened swing-arms and rider weights over 240lbs.
Custom Powdercoating is available for $25.
