FORK GOLD VALVE CARTRIDGE KIT FOR THE GOLDWING
Race Tech has created a kit to address the special issues of the Goldwing GL1800, Race Tech Gold Valve Cartridge kit FMGV S2048C. For the cartridge side we use a Compression and Rebound Gold Valve to custom set the damping for rider weight and riding ability. On the Damping Rod side the Gold Valve Emulator is used to complete the custom set-up. After the valving is set we top it off with the proper rate fork springs to give the proper ride height and for front end dive control. The results are an awesome handling bike that is comfortable to ride with out the big price tag.

TESTIMONIAL: 2008 Honda Goldwing GL1800
Hi Josh, Thanks for calling me the other night.
I've already "thrown" your name around on the GoldWing Website. There was actually a recent post of a guy asking specifically about anyone who had any knowledge or experience with you. I posted a "glowing" review for all to see as well as sending him a "private message" telling him to feel free to call me.
Here is my testemonial for you to edit, cut, chop, paste, butcher or use as you please for your site. **NOTE** I have nothing to hide so I've posted the whole e-mail sent to me right here-JW.
My 08 GoldWing had the dredded "wobble" from day one. It also had multiple fork seal failures and in less than two years of riding had become a wobbling, rattleling, wallowing pig that I liked less each time I rode it and frankly, I was ready to get rid of it. When everthing I was being advised to do didn't work, I decided to go to a true suspension expert/mechanic.
I consulted Josh and he helped me find the right components to solve the inheriently bad GoldWing suspension issues I was having. He helped me select the perfect spring rate, fork oil weight, and custom rear shock for my riding style and the weights of myself, wife, and our gear. The Race Tech suspension he installed transformed my GoldWing from a bike I really didn't like to ride anymore, into a bike I now look forward to riding!
No more wobble. No more plastic rattles when I hit bumps, but that's not the best part. Now when I accelerate hard there is no more rear-end wallowing around. The new suspension keeps the rear tire firmly planted
and all the power is immediately transferred to "forward thrust" An immediately noticible improvement is "brake feel" and stopping distance. The new suspension keeps the tires in much better contact with the road. The front end no longer "dives" like the stock suspension did when braking hard, and the rear end does not "push" like it used too. And of course, these same suspension qualities equate to much better road feel and tracking through curves than the stock suspension, which would bounce and wobble with road irregularities through corners. The "butt feel" is greatly improved. It soaks up the bumps, is more comfortable and has much better tracking and road feel. I used to hate and avoid " tar snakes because of the unsteady feeling they created. Now the suspension is so good that I dont feel them, dodge them, or even care if they're present.
The last improvement I've noticed is reduced tire "singing" or "howling" which can be very annoying on GoldWings. It's still there, but it has been greatly reduced on my E-3s with over 10K on them....just another added bonus.
Back to Josh. He is meticulous. Josh gave me pictures of the entire tear down/rebuild. He inspected and cleaned every part he touched and even filled the gas tank and washed the bike when the work was done. Josh made it clear to me, that the job would not be complete until I was fully satisified and any and all adjustments were made to "dial in" the suspension to my liking.
Josh's suspension knowledge, mechanical skills, and attention to detail are First Class.
Well Josh, I got myself so excited writing this that I'm going to have to go for a ride. haha
Thanks again for the great job. I'll be in touch and dropping your name on the website
every chance I get.
